Abstract Preparation Guidelines

1. Abstracts must be submitted in English only through the link provided at the top of this page.
2. Any unusual abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.
3. Abstracts must be submitted as a plain text.
4. The abstract should be organized into the following paragraphs:
   • Introduction
   • Methods
   • Results and discussion
   • Conclusion(s)
5. Do not include title or author information in the body of your abstract.
6. The maximum length allowed for an abstract is 300 words, excluding the title, author(s) and institutional affiliations.
7. The maximum length for an abstract title is 25 words.
8. It is the author’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific content will be published as submitted.

Important Remarks

1. Only abstracts that are complete and follow the provided headings will be considered for review.
2. All submissions will be evaluated and scored by a panel of selected reviewers.
3. Accepted summaries will be made available online to all XAFS 2026 delegates.
4. Each registration allows submission of up to two abstracts: one for oral presentation and one for poster presentation.​
5. The registration fee of the presenting author must be paid by the registration deadline; otherwise, the contribution will be cancelled.
