Presented by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), this award recognizes excellence in research and scientific communication by an emerging scientist:

• Young Scientist Award – International Tables for Crystallography, Volume I: X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy and Related Techniques

Awardees will be selected by the Scientific Committee based on the quality, originality, and impact of their research, as well as the effectiveness of their presentation.

Eligibility: Graduate students, postgraduate students, and postdoctoral fellows (typically up to 30 years of age, exceptionally 35). Early Career Scientists within five years of receiving their graduate degree may also be considered.
